me clear some of this nonsense up about RAMfest being some top secret “satanic
ritual.” There has been an email doing its rounds on the interweb “exposing” RAMfest
for its evil undertones and controversial messages. Rumour has it that the
festival is organised by satanists and an illuminati-movement! I don’t know if
that statement even warrants a response? Just think off any party from these
two groups behind a national mainstream event...

to the ACTUAL essence of this event - the event that marks one of the biggest
Rock festivals on the South African calendar. This year they brought us a
stellar line up including Lowprofile,
Pestroy, Bring Me The Horizon and
one of the biggest international rock acts to close the show, Rise Against! Now I will be the first to admit that I am no
metal head, but I have a real appreciation for this band. Maybe it’s because
they have good old political driven lyrics instead of singing about that thing
called love? Maybe it’s because their name makes me feel like I am breaking
societal rules by listening to them? (Which is always fun) Whatever the reason,
they get my vote to come back next year!
